Welcome! My name is Qristina and in my life I’ve lived many places and been many things – but the one thing that has stayed constant is my love of food and the stories it tells.

I am currently a work-from-home mum of two wonderful kids (fourteen year old Phoenix and one year old Amethyst), a writer, and avid gardener. I grew up in the UK but have lived and travelled throughout Europe and Asia, and now live in the US with my half-Korean husband.

I cook because I love making people happy – I love feeding my family and I love sharing the culture and stories behind the food. Each dish tells a different story and I wanted somewhere to store those memories before they’re lost to time. I also have several allergies (including gluten, artificial sweeteners, MSG, and whole eggs), so cooking my own food has become incredibly important.

This blog has told several other journeys, but perhaps none of them have been as authentic and real as this one. After all, we are what we eat!
