It great site for studying either English or Japanese (I find myself going to the “study English” site a lot and it helps with my Japanese!!). There are often corresponding videos and the lessons go into a LOT of detail (but remain helpful). I’ll write more of a description once I’ve figured out the site a little better.

http://chokochoko.wordpress.com/

Chokochoko is by FAR my favorite site out there for everything Japanese. It’s not a plain layout with boring lessons-but it’s full of useful and FUN information~! In fact the byline says it all: “THE hottest Japanese learning e-zine on the planet”… and by jimminy it certainly is!! I recommend learners of all levels to visit and indulge their 日本語を勉強する in the fantastically fun and whimsical chokochoko site. :)

Another site, while not language related, that is certainly helpful for anyone visiting or thinking of visiting Korea is the Korea Tourism Office

They have a lot of hard copy information available (such as posters, fliers, and brochures, as well as some tickets and other information). They also have a very interesting exhibit of Korean stars, with life-size cardboard images, hand prints, which when touched produce a short video regarding the star, and some very good gifts available. (It is also air-conditioned, clean, and has awesome restrooms!!! lol)

    Hello Qristina!

I’d also like to recommend another useful site for people who are interested in visiting Korea. It’s the Korea Tourism Organization’s Official Website http://www.visitkorea.or.kr , which is available in various languages.
Also, if tourist are coming to Seoul and need guides, you can visit the Korean Tourism Organization and find brochures and other useful things. They also have a room with Korean Stars’ immitations where you can take pictures ^____^

Most of these sites are to do with learning Japanese (or Korean) language, but I do plan to set up a more general area, and will definitely add the Korea Tourism Office.

and Haha! YES! The Korea Tourism Office is awesome… I have some photographs somewhere I shall have to upload. We visited there when I was in Korea recently. I loved it. There are a lot of brochures, maps, information and other useful items. They also had, as you mentioned, an area with cardboard replicas of famous Korean stars, as well as their hand prints, which when touched showed a brief video about the person in question! They also have really awesome restrooms (lol) and they are really clean and cool inside. They also offer computer access (I think for free) where you can check your email or find more information about events listed on posters, fliers, or in brochures ^^
