Here Comes Crazy! (and grammar)

So, we’re heating up for the final run now. We have a World Cultures something, LOL, on Friday where we’re singing the New Year Song. My son and I are wearing traditional costumes. (I’ll post photos later!) It’s going to be fun! Then on Saturday we have a party at my Korean professors house. I am so looking forward to that! Can’t wait for all of the yummy food!! ^^

After that I have presentations, papers, screen plays and exams due. eegads.

Anyway, let’s have some grammar:

せっかく
Meaning: with effort

Examples:

せっかく会いに行ったのに、友達はいませんでした。
I made the effort to go and see my friend, but he wasn’t there.

せっかくいい大学に入ったのだからよく勉強するつもりです。
I worked hard to get into a good college, so I intend to study hard

がせっかく作ってくれた料理食べないのは失礼だ。
It’s impolite not to eat food which someone has taken the trouble of preparing for you.

Work hard everyone!! 頑張って下さい!아자,아자! 화이팅!
