Tomorrow I have to meet the interim director of the Study Abroad program to talk about any plans for the summer. Looking at Kyung Hee and other Universities, it seems more likely that another program will be better. For example, Sogang University (in Seoul) also do a summer program. Only they offer a matching scholarship for payment of fees, which means it might be easier to attempt to go there. (If I can get about $2800 out of my uni, then I should be able to get some kind of matching from Sogang). They offer 7 hours a day, 5 days a week of Korean. They also offer a 5 day field-trip and other events after classes are done.
The campus isn’t as pretty and the University not as prestigious, but still–it’s worth a try. Anything is worth a try at this point, though it’s so tempting just to give up!! 아자,아자! 화이팅!!
I have a test in Korean tomorrow, and a practical in my linguistics class (oh the joy). I also have my presentation to finish (start?) for Korean class too. (でも、疲れています!)The presentation is particularly challenging because I feel like I can’t actually say very much in Korean… so to try and talk about poetry (Kang Su) is going to explode my brain. Literally.
I saw my old 先生 the other week–and it was a little weird. LOL. She sings as part of the Sakura Ladies Chorus, and I always like seeing them perform. They always sing the theme to “Ponyo”, which keeps it in my head forever!! I liked that movie though. Maybe I’ll watch it tonight!! ^_^
I’ll write a decent grammar post here tomorrow. Sorry for the … sparse posting and the lack of focus. I only have two weeks until final exams!!! ARGH! 頑張ります!아자,아자! 화이팅!!
