Insanity

My life, that is. I have had a ton of exams etc., this week. I had a 15 minute presentation and a then Korean exam. I have a linguistics exam tomorrow. Woo. Gotta love it. We’ve been studying with 수민 a lot this week (two hours Monday and an hour and a half Wednesday). It’s really helping. Just like Japanese, there are a lot of things in our text books that we’re taught that just aren’t used in Korea.

We’re also obsessing just a bit about Kyung Hee University and waiting impatiently for our professor to return from Korea next week. Her husband came to class on Monday and mentioned that I was hoping to go–so now more people want to go too. While I don’t think that’s a bad thing per se, it does worry me. This was kind of my idea (along with Toria) and the program itself is by invitation (and recommendation) only. So, that makes me scared that they won’t offer many places to Universities. So, for example, if four of us want to go, they may only accept two. I don’t want to go with anyone else in the class… so if we had to choose who’d go? I can’t even begin to think about that. >.< It’s not fair to make anyone have to drop the dream, you know? But, I worry that because of my nature, I’d forfeit and let others go–even though I NEED this trip to get into grad school. I have a feeling Toria would do the same, especially if I couldn’t go because she’s never traveled before and she’s only 18 and a bit nervous of doing it on her own.

I feel like an older sister or aunt to her (언니/이모)…

I am sooo tired today (피군해요) and have lost the will to study any language. I seem to have completely digressed away from any Japanese in this blog. It’s just so hard to keep a focus on everything when classes get crazy like this. Talking of crazy classes, I signed up for next semester…. this is what I’m taking:

Macroeconomics, Comparative Politics, History of Revolutionary China, Religion and Culture, Geography of Asia, Korean.

I am going to be INSANE by the time the summer rolls around!
