Japanese Grammar of the Day!

Here we go! Finally some Japanese grammar. Since I keep on doing Korean, I thought I would post this (if you place your mouse over the Kanji or Katakana words, the hiragana, romaji and meaning will pop up! Just like magic!!):

続ける - つづける

Meaning: keep on doing …

Examples:

ダイエットのくせにあくまでも甘い食べつづけます。
Even though I’m on a diet, I will keep on eating sweet things until the end.

この失敗、きっと一生言われつづけるなあ。
People will keep talking about this mistake forever.

I’ve heard this particular expression used a LOT by all sorts of people. When you think about it though, we use “keep doing” a lot in English too. For example, “if you keep doing that, your arm will drop off” (>.<) or “even though I’m drunk, I will keep drinking!” My favorite is “even though I’m tired, I keep on studying” (私は疲れても、勉強を続ける) LOL!!

I decided to edit this and add the Big Bang boy’s MV “ガラガラ GO!!”

(宇宙最強のダンスヴォーカルグループ”BIGBANG2ndシン グルが早くも完成!!聴いて、踊って気持ちイイ!この夏最高のブチ↑パーティーチュー ン!)

Keep on watching and learning :)
