So, I’m probably not going to Canada this weekend. I just have too much work (three exams, plus a 15 minute presentation) for next week. Dave might be going. It’s an almost 8 hour drive and if we get caught up I could miss Monday (which I can’t do!!)
김선상님 is in Korea this coming week (0.0) and I am SO JEALOUS. Also a little nervous since we have an exam… and she’s not going to be here to administer it. I guess her husband is coming in on Monday (yay! I want to ask him how he got fluent!) and then 수민 is going to give us the test on Wednesday! (I told her she was 제 친구! lol)
That brings us to another point. Toria and I are seriously thinking about trying to study in Korea this summer. It would have to be for a short period of time (since I can’t leave my boys that long) and it would have to be eligible for funding. There are two possible Universities at the moment that I know of, both near Seoul: Hansung and Sogang. We’re going to have to spend some serious time investigating this! I’d love to go (the MA program I want to get into strongly recommends study abroad as one of the criteria for admission!! >.<
In other news, I found this great website today:
I’ve already started going through it! I also downloaded a flashcard program from BKYI (Before You Know It). It’s a great little program. The free version comes with a limited number of pre-made flashcards, but it is possible to make your own. I used to use it a lot for Japanese study. Now, since I’m really trying to rapidly increase my Korean vocabulary, I’m going to input all of the words we’ve gone over so far in class and then add different lists I can find (perhaps from word shower) that are good words to know!
So, really I have a lot to do! I’m also working on a great Japanese grammar/vocab post that will (hopefully) materialize later today! Since I only have one class this morning I have a little extra time to work on it !! ^_^

Hi Zephyr, you have gots to teach me some Korean! (hehe) I took up learning Korean (wanted to do so for some time already) but now I’m serious about it! I even bought a book! The website you wrote anout looks nice, I bookmarked it. I need to be checking you’re blog more often since it’s more Korean now right? Anyways, help us Korean newbies by writing more awesome articles!
