This program is excellent–but, it’s also very tiring. Today is really the first time that I have had to just sit and relax and chill out. It’s so strange–being on the go all the time, I’ve hardly had any time to digest any of it! The DMZ visit yesterday was a little bizarre. My son and I tried to make a snowman, but the snow was too powdery, so we made a volcano instead ^^! Christmas was good–and I’ve just been enjoying hanging out with my family. I got several things I really wanted (in the area of language learning) this year. I was lucky enough to receive one of these: Korean dictionary! It’s all in Korean, which makes [...] Last night was extremely interesting. We went to a TaeKwonDo class where 교수님 is a student. Master Charles Bayersdoerfer taught us punching and kicking and some basic self-defence. Master Charles Beyersdoerfer (Gold Medalist!) It was an amazing experience and one I wish I could continue. Perhaps in the new year… Here is a video of Master Beyersdoerfer [...] AH! It’s so exciting! It’s the last day of classes today! The weather is freezing cold and there is hardly anyone on campus. I just want to go home, but I get my literature grade today–so I have to be here!! I am actually looking forward to my Korean exam. I could answer all the review [...] So, we’re heating up for the final run now. We have a World Cultures something, LOL, on Friday where we’re singing the New Year Song. My son and I are wearing traditional costumes. (I’ll post photos later!) It’s going to be fun! Then on Saturday we have a party at my Korean professors house. I [...] YAY! I’m back! *wave* Just a quick post to let you know I’m back and raring to go (tomorrow, after a rest…) Thanksgiving was fun. We spent it with our relatives and then hung out with several of my husband’s (남편) old college and high school friends. It was cool ^_^ I’m super glad to be [...] These “Spinning Top Dice” are popular in Japan, and I was lucky enough to win a game including them today. There is an “International Week” taking place at our school and today was Japanese day. We visited from 11am and came away with quite a good stash of goodies. I won a ton of candy, [...] |
