I found a book in my University library yesterday called “토끼의심판” or “Rabbit’s Judgement”. The book is bilingual, with the story written in both Korean and English. There are other rabbit stories; I recently read one called “Rabbit’s Escape”, so I think the rabbit is a fairly common character in folktales. I know how much work learning a new language is. Problem is, I actually can remember some words and sentences and get pretty good [...] I have been looking at Korean children’s videos and songs. My son, Phoenix, we’ve discovered, likes to watch Pororo (뽀로로) without subtitles (he’s 6) and we can both pretty much understand what’s going on.
