I discovered that I can apply for a research fellowship–as long as I get myself a faculty advisor and research topic (and proposal) ready by the 17th March. @_@ What am I trying to do to myself here? So far, the only topic I have come up with is “Language, identity, and religion—Korean Buddhist Literature [...] It’s still snowing~! We’re supposed to get another 10″ on top of the remaining 5 or so from the last snow storm (which gave us about a foot). It’s pretty much a white-out right now!! Glad that they canceled my school, that’s for sure! In other news, I made the Korean Blog List so I’m super [...] Finally we got some decent snow today! It seems everywhere in the world but here is having the worst winter for many years! It's only a few inches… We’re supposed to get more on Thursday–here’s hoping for a snow day!! Work harder at University (if that’s possible, LOL) I heard more about the Kyung Hee program, and it’s very scary. They only offer the scholarship to cover the tuition fee and the dorm fee. The flights etc are to be paid by us. The scholarship they award (apparently) is awarded to one student from one school. So, that means out of all students [...] I have so much to do today, but I am in a total funk. >.< I have to get through these two classes (I did hideously in my Linguistics exam on Friday (an 82 *sob*)) and then I have to run to the Study Abroad office (but I think they’re doing a special thing [...] After I posted that I was seriously going to drop the Japanese for now, several things happen. First, I saw Big Bang’s new video, then I received several emails and comments telling me NOT to. Then, to top it all off, a Korean friend told me they read my blog because they’re learning Japanese… >.< So, here [...] That I’ll drop Japanese altogether for now. There are so many other blogs and so forth dedicated to people learning Japanese and to Japanese things. I don’t think there are that many (that I’ve found) dedicated to Korean. I don’t even know of any K-vloggers on YouTube, whereas it’s filled with a whole slew of [...] |
